We Invite You To Meet

SOLD
Introducing, our gorgeous 2009 filly - Angelica.
She was born on June 24th. 2009.
In every respect, Angelica is very different from any foal we have ever produced.
She will follow you everywhere and yes, even into the house if you let her. She also adores children.
She was named by our children, who thought she looked like a tiny Angel.
A really small filly, she arrived two weeks earlier than expected, but was
up and around, eating and already inspecting her surroundings, by the time
we went out to feed on the morning of her birth.
In fact she was not even in the stall with Myst, but outside playing around by
herself. When I went into the stall, she came running up to me, nickering to say hello.
She still nickers under her breath to humans all the time.
What a truly fun little girl this is! I must admit, since she arrived I have not done
a whole lot of work around the ranch!!!
Her dam is our gorgeous Harlequin Farms Willerby Myst, and her sire,
the one and only, Playboy.
And Angelica has turned out to be blue and white! Our first blue and white Gypsy.
Her pedigree is choc full of some of the great names in the breed, so we think
she will evolve into something very special when grown.
We also think Angelica will remain a small filly. She will maybe reach 13 hands as an adult.
Of course we can never be sure of adult height, but we believe she'll be classed
as one of the "littles". She even has the lucky one white ear!

PLEASE NOTE
If you are viewing this page on a wide screen monitor, all pictures might
appear wider and the horses etc. will be stretched, and unfortunately appear
a lot longer in body than they are. Setting your screen resolution to 1280 x 720 pixels
will probably correct the problem.

A NOTE REGARDING GYPSY HORSE PEDIGREES.
As with all pedigrees of the past, most of what was known about the background
of a given horse, was by word of mouth from breeder to seller and more often,
passed down through members of the same family for generations.
Although we in our family, do a tremendous amount of research, as to the
background of our own horses and those of others in the breed, unless DNA
can be verified, our knowledge of the background of any horses imported
into this country, always comes to us from current breeders and old-timers
in the breed, with whom we have spoken personally.
While we try our very best, to give correct pedigrees, from time to time,
as our research continues, we sometimes have to change things.
As horses in the UK changed hands over the years, they were often given different
names, which makes it even more difficult for the pedigree researcher.
Mares were seldom named at all.
All pedigrees of horses on our site, are correct to the very best of our knowledge
at the time of writing. However, since many in the breed have passed on and DNA
is no longer available, we can only go by our current information.
As always, absolute pedigree confirmation, is a constant work in progress.
Our thanks to Albert Coates, Sydney Harker, Jerry Conners and Tom Conners
and George Harrison, for much of the information, contained in this and other
pedigrees of our horses.
And a special thanks to Dierdre Cash, who kindly interviewed Harry Conners and other members of the Conners family, to ask what they remembered of the Gypsy Horses of yesteryear.
