Whichever way you look at her, Sara has everything, so desired in the breed.
This gorgeous twelve year old mare, is the epitome of that which the Breed is all about.
With her massive body, huge flat bone, gorgeous neck and shoulder, and topped
off with tons of hair and feather, she exudes Gypsy Cob type in every way. Add to
this, she is one moving machine and you have everything in one beautiful package.
She is named aptly, for serene she is. As sweet as can be and friendly to all.
Bred the best, by Mr. George Harrison in England, we feel extraordinarily honoured
to have had the opportunity to add this wonderfully placid and beautiful girl,
to our ever-growing, broodmare band.
Sara has always produced the most wonderful foals, in the UK and indeed since coming
to the US.
Our thanks to Black Forest Gypsy Horses for bringing this mare to us.

Showing Sara's exquisite neck, which she consistently,
passes on to her foals.
 | Serenity's beautiful and expressive head, also happens to be Blessed with "the" most wonderful moustache, so coveted by The Gypsies!
Actually, since this photo was taken, her moustache has grown another four inches.
I'm afraid I finally had to cut it.

Sara asleep at the Equine Affaire, while Jeff Bartko was explaining to
the crowd, about the breed. I suspect he didn't need to explain how quiet
the breed is, even with a lot going on around them - and that this was Sara's
first time out.

Sara with The Prophet, her 2006 foal.
Since we will never know how many offspring Sara has had, she was left open

PLEASE NOTE
If you are viewing this page on a wide screen monitor, all pictures might
appear wider and the horses etc. will be stretched, and unfortunately appear
a lot longer in body than they are. Setting your screen resolution to 1280 x 720 pixels
will probably correct the problem.

A NOTE REGARDING GYPSY HORSE PEDIGREES.
As with all pedigrees of the past, most of what was known about the background
of a given horse, was by word of mouth from breeder to seller and more often,
passed down through members of the same family for generations.
Although we in our family, do a tremendous amount of research, as to the
background of our own horses and those of others in the breed, unless DNA
can be verified, our knowledge of the background of any horses imported
into this country, always comes to us from current breeders and old-timers
in the breed, with whom we have spoken personally.
While we try our very best, to give correct pedigrees, from time to time,
as our research continues, we sometimes have to change things.
As horses in the UK changed hands over the years, they were often given different
names, which makes it even more difficult for the pedigree researcher.
Mares were seldom named at all.
All pedigrees of horses on our site, are correct to the very best of our knowledge
at the time of writing. However, since many in the breed have passed on and DNA
is no longer available, we can only go by our current information.
As always, absolute pedigree confirmation, is a constant work in progress.
Our thanks to Albert Coates, Sydney Harker, Jerry Conners and Tom Conners
and George Harrison, for much of the information, contained in this and other
pedigrees of our horses.
And a special thanks to Dierdre Cash, who kindly interviewed Harry Conners and other members of the Conners family, to ask what they remembered of the Gypsy Horses of yesteryear.
