On our visit to Appleby a few years ago, we spent time with Albert and Amy Coats,
where we first met this charming filly. We were blown away by her
gorgeous, round little body, huge bone and her incredible hair and feather. But the best part about her, is her absolutely fabulous, sweet temperament. I think everyone in our party, couldn't help but fall in love with this little girl.
She has strong Sabino markings, which in the world of the Gypsy Horses, is known as a Blue Blagdon.
Myst stands 13.3hh at four years old. Her pedigree contains some of the most illustrious names ever known in the breed. We think she will live up to the legend.
We already knew her sire Peter Pan, who just screams Gypsy Cob type.
And her Dam, the wonderful Willerby Mare, who has produced already, two
other fabulous fillies by Peter Pan - both commanding top money in at Appleby.
Myst is now maturing into a gorgeous chunk of a girl. She is superbly built, with a huge
apple bum, gorgeous head, lovely neck and shoulder and more hair and feather than
is even necessary. She absolutely screams Gypsy Cob type. We are really proud of this mare.
Thank you Albert and Amy Coates for bringing our attention to this superb mare and to Jen
at Desert Jewel Gypsies, for bringing her to the US.
UPDATE
Myst has now outdone herself and proven to be a wonderful producer, by foaling a truly fabulous, tiny little blue and white tobiano filly, on June 24st.2009.

PLEASE NOTE
If you are viewing this page on a wide screen monitor, all pictures might
appear wider and the horses etc. will be stretched, and unfortunately appear
a lot longer in body than they are. Setting your screen resolution to 1280 x 720 pixels
will probably correct the problem.

A NOTE REGARDING ALL GYPSY HORSE PEDIGREES.
As with all pedigrees of the past, most of what was known about the
background of a given horse, was by word of mouth from breeder to seller
and more often, passed down through members of the same family for generations.
Although we in our family, do a tremendous amount of research, as to the
background of our own horses and those of others in the breed, unless DNA
can be verified, our knowledge of the background of any horses imported
into this country, always comes to us from current breeders and old-timers
in the breed, with whom we have spoken personally.
While we try our very best, to give correct pedigrees, from time to time,
as our research continues, we sometimes have to change things.
As horses in the UK changed hands over the years, they were often given
different names, which makes it even more difficult for the pedigree researcher.
Mares were seldom named at all.
All pedigrees of horses on our site, are correct to the very best of our knowledge
at the time of writing. However, since many in the breed have passed on and DNA
is no longer available, we can only go by our current information.
As always, absolute pedigree confirmation, is a constant work in progress.
Our thanks to Albert Coates and Deirdre Cash, for the information contained in this pedigree.
